Meet Joanne Athey

Joanne has been involved in teaching, facilitation and coaching for the past 20+ years. Joanne has taught with accelerated teaching methodology as well as standard teaching methods. Joannes abilities that make an incredible difference for participants is her active listening skill, her ability to create a positive learning environment and meet the needs of all participants.
Divorce Coach
May 2025
Providing the most successful Rebuilding tools after a relationship ends. The spectrum covers individuals amid separating, already separated, considering filing for divorce, presently divorced or years after their divorce.
The course is guaranteed to move the individual forward when they fully participate in all 10 sessions.
Rebuilding Support groups are an additional option beyond graduating from the 10-week course.
Joanne participated in the Bruce Fisher REBUILDING: after a relationship ends in 1986.
988 – Suicide Prevention Counselor
January 2021 – September 2023
The current as well as past data in reference to Suicide has been instrumental in the development to offer 988 Suicide Prevention Counselors, 24/7, 365 days a year.
Joanne was instrumental in working with callers of all ages, demographics, behavioral diagnosis and situations when a caller picked up the phone and dialed 988. Her intrinsic ability to gain trust with the caller, actively listen and act appropriately to the many changing conversations and situations of the callers was phenomenal. The Team she worked with referred to her as the GOAT of Suicide Prevention and an asset to each team member when requesting her knowledge or assistance.

▪ Joanne began her tenure at the Technical College as Economic Development Consultant, serving all seven counties the college was involved. Joanne and her team would meet with Business Professionals of small and medium sized businesses to determine the educational needs of their company, design, deliver and follow up with the education sessions deemed beneficial to the organization.
▪ Joanne Athey is a Coach in area of Divorce Recovery, Parenting, Behavioral change with several decades of experience. Joanne is passionate about facilitating/coaching individuals and groups to continue moving forward with changes to enhance their lives and those around them.
▪ Joanne has worked with Business and Industry, groups, families and individuals with effective results. Joanne is passionate of making a difference in people's lives every day.
▪ Joanne studied at the University of Mequon, earning a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Business Management with a minor in Criminal Justice.
